Lead Volunteer Mentor — Product Management Mentorship Programme

Technology Entrepreneur • AI Product Strategist • Lead Volunteer Mentor
Henry Uwabor is a technology entrepreneur, AI product strategist, and the Founder & CEO of Finaive, an AI-powered digital commerce and fraud prevention platform. He has held product leadership roles at Amazon, where he designed and delivered large-scale logistics and planning systems that operated at massive scale.
Through his continued involvement with Mola Tech, Henry has provided free, practical mentorship to over 100 junior product managers, career transitioners, and aspiring PMs. His mentorship has supported participants in building both confidence and capability across the full spectrum of product management.
What sets Henry apart is his strong focus on practical application rather than theory alone. He guides mentees through live product scenarios, portfolio development, and mock product exercises that help them build real, job-ready skills. His contribution reflects a genuine and sustained commitment to knowledge sharing, talent development, and ecosystem growth within the technology sector.
Six core pillars of product management, taught through practical application, real-world case studies, and hands-on exercises.
Learn how to define a product vision, set measurable objectives, prioritise features using real frameworks (RICE, MoSCoW, Kano), and build roadmaps that align stakeholders and drive business outcomes. You will work through real scenarios where competing priorities, limited resources, and shifting market conditions force you to make the strategic trade-offs that real PMs face every day.
Understand how to talk to users, design research plans, conduct interviews, synthesise findings into actionable insights, and use data to validate assumptions before building. You will practise the full discovery lifecycle — from writing research briefs and screener questions to running interviews and presenting findings that influence product decisions.
Product managers lead without authority. This pillar teaches you how to influence engineering, design, marketing, sales, and executive teams — how to navigate disagreements, communicate trade-offs, run effective meetings, and build the trust that makes cross-functional collaboration work. You will practise real stakeholder scenarios through role-play exercises.
Breaking into product management or moving to a senior PM role requires more than skills — it requires positioning. This pillar covers CV and portfolio optimisation for PM roles, how to answer product sense and execution interview questions, case study walkthroughs, and strategies for standing out in a competitive hiring market.
Theory without application is forgettable. Every mentorship session connects concepts to real product decisions from both enterprise environments (Amazon-scale logistics, planning systems) and startup environments (early-stage product-market fit, MVP design, pivot decisions). You will analyse real products, identify what worked, what failed, and why.
Build a portfolio that demonstrates your product thinking to hiring managers. Through guided exercises you will create product requirement documents, write user stories, design wireframe-level solutions, build mock product decks, and complete end-to-end product exercises that you can showcase in interviews and on your professional profile.
Whether you are exploring product management, starting your first PM role, or transitioning from another career — this programme is designed to meet you where you are.
You are working in a different role — engineering, design, marketing, operations, or consulting — and want to transition into product management. You need structured guidance, real frameworks, and someone who has made the transition themselves to show you how.
You have landed your first PM role but feel overwhelmed by the breadth of the job. You need a mentor who can help you navigate stakeholder dynamics, sharpen your prioritisation, improve your communication, and accelerate your growth from junior to mid-level.
You are making a deliberate career change into tech and product management from a non-technical background. You need practical skills, portfolio-building support, and interview preparation that addresses the specific challenges career changers face.
Mola Tech is committed to developing the next generation of technology leaders across Africa and the global diaspora. If you are building your career in product management from anywhere in the world, this programme is designed with you in mind.
A clear, structured path from application to career acceleration.
Submit your application through Mola Tech. We review your background, goals, and current experience level, then match you with the most suitable mentor based on your career stage and areas of focus.
Your mentor works with you to define clear, measurable goals for the mentorship period. Whether it is landing your first PM role, preparing for a specific interview, or building a product portfolio — you start with a plan.
Regular one-to-one and group sessions covering product strategy, user research, stakeholder management, and career development. Each session combines teaching with hands-on exercises and real-world case studies.
Throughout the programme you build tangible artefacts — PRDs, product decks, case study analyses, and mock interview responses — that form a professional portfolio you can use in job applications and interviews.
Mentorship does not end after the formal programme. You join the Mola Tech mentorship alumni community with access to peer support, networking opportunities, and continued guidance as your career evolves.
Real stories from real people whose careers were transformed by the programme.
Henry's mentorship completely changed my trajectory. I came in as a business analyst with no PM experience, and within 4 months I had a portfolio, a clear narrative, and the confidence to interview. I landed my first PM role 6 weeks after completing the programme.Adaeze NwosuProduct Manager, FinTech Startup
What makes this programme different is that it is not theoretical. Henry walked me through actual product decisions from his time at Amazon and Finaive. I learned more in our sessions than I did in 6 months of reading PM blogs and taking online courses.Tunde AdeyemiJunior Product Manager, SaaS Platform
As a career transitioner from marketing, I was intimidated by the technical side of product management. The mentorship gave me frameworks I could actually use, and the mock interviews were incredibly realistic. I felt prepared, not just hopeful.Chiamaka EzeAssociate Product Manager, E-commerce
The Mola Tech mentorship programme is a gift to the African tech ecosystem. Free, structured, and genuinely impactful. Henry and the team care deeply about developing talent, and it shows in the quality of every session.Kwame AsanteProduct Manager, HealthTech
I went from not knowing what a PRD was to writing ones that my engineering team actually praised. The portfolio I built during the programme was the single biggest factor in getting hired. I recommend this to every aspiring PM I meet.Fatima BelloProduct Manager, EdTech Company
